Maison Harbour Pommard 1er Cru Les Chanlins 2018
A young Canadian/American couple, Colleen and Nicholas Harbour, started a small négociant operation from their digs in Savigny, which they are slowly expanding to accommodate more equipment. Their first vintage was in 2013 and they only buy fruit for their reds and it depends on sources and quality for their whites.
A slightly riper but just as pretty nose offers up liqueur-like aromas of red currant that evidences background nuances of menthol and soft earth. The succulent, cool and even more evidently mineral-driven flavors possess just a bit more complexity on the balanced, moderately firm and lingering finish. This could be approached after only 3 to 5 years as there is good mid-palate fat.
